Eagles HC Nick Sirianni lets Chiefs fans have it after ‘MNF’ win…

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni downplayed the significance of the Monday night matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, asserting that it was merely the next game on the schedule rather than a pivotal Super Bowl rematch.

However, his postgame actions contradicted his pre-game remarks, as a video circulated on social media capturing Sirianni taunting Chiefs fans while entering the tunnel following the Eagles’ 21-17 victory.

The win not only served as a bold statement for Philadelphia but also maintained their position ahead of the Detroit Lions (8-2) for the top seed in the NFC.

Additionally, it marked Sirianni’s first victory against the Chiefs during his tenure as the Eagles’ coach, breaking a previous 0-2 record against the defending Super Bowl champions.

In contrast to the Super Bowl narrative, Monday’s game was closely contested, with the Chiefs holding a 17-7 lead at halftime.

However, a reversal of roles occurred, with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts scoring two touchdown runs in the third and fourth quarters to orchestrate a comeback and secure the Eagles’ ninth win of the season, offering a measure of revenge in the process.
