Teammate Reveals Why Paul Mullin’s Prolific Scoring Makes Him Stand Out…

Wrexham striker Paul Mullin’s goal-scoring prowess is unmatched, according to teammate Steven Fletcher, who believes that Mullin has no weaknesses on the field.

Mullin has established himself as a vital figure at StoK Racecourse, even earning praise from club co-owner Ryan Reynolds. He has notched an impressive 81 goals in just 101 appearances for the Welsh side.

Last season, Mullin played a pivotal role in Wrexham’s promotion back into the Football League, and in the 2023-24 season, he has continued to impress after recovering from a punctured lung. Steven Fletcher, a summer signing for Wrexham, is one of many who have been impressed by the 28-year-old’s skill set.

The veteran Scottish international, who has played alongside many top strikers, spoke highly of Mullin’s finishing ability, stating, “I’ve played with a lot of talented strikers, and Paul’s finishing is unmatched. Whether it’s with his left foot or right foot, he consistently finds the target. I’m thrilled to see him score early in the season.”

Fletcher himself has also contributed to Wrexham’s goal tally since joining the team as a free agent, notably scoring a dramatic stoppage-time equalizer in a 3-3 draw with Crewe.

Reflecting on the experience, the 36-year-old said, “It’s an incredible feeling. As a striker, you want to open your account and score as many goals as possible. Scoring in the 95th minute was fantastic. I made eye contact with Jacob [Mendy], and he knew I would make that run. He delivered a precise cross, and I didn’t have to do much.”

As Wrexham seeks consistency this season under the management of Phil Parkinson, they will face fellow promotion contenders Mansfield in their upcoming match on Tuesday.”
