DeSean Jackson, the renowned NFL wide receiver primarily associated with the Philadelphia Eagles, is announcing his retirement at 36 years old. In a symbolic gesture, he will finalize his retirement by signing a ceremonial contract with the Eagles on Friday, coinciding with his 37th birthday.

This move signifies his decision to conclude his professional journey with the team that initially drafted him in 2008.

Throughout his career, Jackson also played for several other teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Rams, Raiders, Ravens, and Washington Commanders. Notably, he departs from the NFL with a historic record, boasting the highest number of touchdowns over 60 yards—26 in total.

Expressing his sentiments, Jackson stated, “Philly will always be home. That’s why I wanted to come back and retire as an Eagle. It just sits right with me. I feel like I should have never left.”
