Ardie Savea has secured his first-ever World Rugby Men’s World Player of the Year award.
The All Blacks’ No8 delivered an outstanding performance during their World Cup campaign and stood out in the final, despite a narrow 12-11 defeat to South Africa.
In this achievement, the 30-year-old surpassed competitors such as World Cup winner Eben Etzebeth, the 2021 winner Antoine Dupont, and Ireland’s Bundee Aki.
Furthermore, Savea’s exceptional performance earned him a spot in the dream team, while his teammate Mark Telea received recognition as the Breakthrough Player of the Year.
