Penguins Forward Embracing Opportunities in NHL Journey Amidst Roster Shuffling…

Penguins forward Vinnie Hinostroza is enthusiastic about another chance in the NHL despite recent roster shuffling. Despite being among the team’s top scorers, Hinostroza didn’t play for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in their recent win against the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The reason being his call-up to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ roster due to the backup goalie’s injury. The Pittsburgh Penguins utilized this move for salary cap relief, regularly transferring Hinostroza and another forward, Radim Zohorna, between the NHL and AHL on paper.

Hinostroza expressed his gratitude for returning to the NHL, emphasizing the importance of staying prepared for his chance, regardless of the ongoing roster adjustments. As a free-agent signing in July, he started the season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, where he focused on improving his game without worrying about his roster spot.

While it’s uncertain when he’ll have the opportunity to play, Hinostroza remained positive despite being a healthy scratch in recent games, aiming to be ready when his chance arises. With eight NHL seasons under his belt, he’s played significantly more NHL games than AHL games, and he believes his best hockey is yet to come, demonstrating his commitment to continuous improvement.
