Penguins Hire Former Ottawa Assistant GM Trent Mann…

The Pittsburgh Penguins have expanded their management and hockey operations team, led by Kyle Dubas, by appointing Trent Mann as a player development and scouting advisor.

This announcement was made through the team’s official account, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday.

Trent Mann, who previously served as the assistant general manager for the Ottawa Senators for the past 12 seasons, has joined the Penguins.

His tenure with the Senators came to an unexpected end in July when he and the team parted ways, as confirmed in a brief statement by the Senators’ general manager, Pierre Dorion, who expressed gratitude for Mann’s contributions.

Although the Penguins have welcomed Mann aboard, they haven’t specified the precise responsibilities he will undertake. Mann, a native of Sackville, New Brunswick, is 50 years old.

Interestingly, the Penguins and the Ottawa Senators are set to face off in a preseason game called the Nova Scotia Showdown in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Monday.

The Penguins are already in Halifax, engaging in a weekend of activities leading up to the game.
